Community Diabetes Prevention Worker Certificate (Modular) |

Program Description
The Community Diabetes Prevention Worker Program prepares the student to work alongside Diabetes Educators delivering important Health services to their communities. Students graduate with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to assist in the development and deliverance of relevant and essential diabetes services at the community level. Graduates become valuable resource people who live in the community helping people with diabetes and their families to manage the disease, as well as promoting awareness and prevention strategies among the general population.
The program features 12 one-week courses with an emphasis on the practical application of skills in the community. This program may be delivered in a variety of formats to best meet the needs of the variious regions or groups. Students complete a practicum component after each module.

Admission Requirements
You are invited to apply if you have:
- Senior 4 or equivalent education standing, or
- Achieved a combination of education and experience as a mature student, or
- Have work experience in the health field
